HOKKAIDO ISLAND

JAPAN : SKI FREERIDE

This winter, Montagne Escape suggest going skiing to Japan, most precisely to Hokkaido, incredible land known for its cherry blossom spots but also for the quality of the snow which covers its mountains.

 

Actually, this land is a place to discover skiing. It’s a very mountainous country with nice powder snow falls, abundant and light. It’s an irresistible invitation for great tracks and wild descents into birch woods.

More than 1000 mechanicals lifts offer an exceptional potential for off-piste and cross-country skiing!

 

Furthermore, the Japanese culture and gastronomy make it worth visiting it at least once in a lifetime.

Finally, in the evening, after a nice skiing day, we will be able to enjoy some nice hot springs: the famous Japanese Onsen!

IMPORTANT: a Visa is not necessary for short term visits (less than 3 months). Confirm requirements per country.

REQUIRED LEVEL

TECHNICAL LEVEL

       

Level 3 out of 5. You must be able to ski in all kind of snow and progress at a good pace.

Slops can get demanding at some point. Short uphill climbs using seal skins up to 45’-1h. No previous experience or knowledge required on cross-country skiing.

​

PHYSICAL LEVEL

 

Good physical condition. Able to climb uphill with seal skin or by walk for 4’/day. Full day skiing at a good pace.

JORDAN : ROCK CLIMBING

Jordanie

Discover an exceptional rock climbing in one of the greatest places. Actually, Wadi Rum desert has plenty of canyons and sandstone mushrooms.


We’ll go on a conquest, the Indiana johns landscape conquest. A landscape full of beautiful Bedouin paths.

We’ll be hosted by locals at the Wadi Rum village, and for the more remote paths, we’ll be staying in Bedouin tents.

MAROC - Taghia et gorge de Todra : ESCALADE

A 1h de vol de l'hexagone, venez, le temps d'une semaine, vous dépayser dans une nature et des paysages mythiques. Cette région de l'Atlas bien sauvage est remplie de tours de calcaire. Le village de Taghia est le camp de base idéale pour de l'escalade en terrain d'aventure ou pour de l'escalade sportive. On pourra aussi rejoindre à pied les gorges de Todra.


On sera hébergé dans un gîte berbère avec les traditionnels couscous et tajine maison.
